Mr. Rajendra Shelke from Rajgurunagar, speaks about his journey with SRT farming. He learned about the zero-tillage farming method through Youtube and subsequently contacted the SRT team for more detailed information. Starting with soybeans, he then expanded to maize and bajra. This shift in farming practice enriched his soil, making it fertile and productive. . .
Mr. Khole, an SRT farmer from Bhandardara, shares his experience with SRT farming. Since adopting the SRT method in 2013, Kashinath experienced a significant reduction in costs and labor, while seeing a notable increase in production from the very first year. The simplicity and effectiveness of SRT farming have made a substantial impact on his and his family's life. . .
Beginning my agricultural journey with organic farming, I quickly realized the challenges it posed. High costs, intensive labor, and comparatively lower yields were constant hurdles. However, my perspective on farming underwent a significant shift when I learned about SRT farming from Chandrasekhar Dada. My farm, located along the banks of the Amba River, was perennially plagued by floods. . .
I planted black mustard crop for the first time in my area using the SRT method. After harvesting Kharif rice without disturbing the previous SRT beds I planted mustard crops on the same beds. By avoiding tillage operations I save time and money. I am a tribal farmer who visited Saguna Baug 2 years ago to get training in SRT farming. After adopting SRT, my family and I became happy and confident.
After my father passed away in 2015, we three brothers took forward the farming but struggled with the financial aspects. Learning about the SRT method marked a turning point. Over the past five years, we have successfully cultivated various crops, including rice, groundnut, soybean, chickpea, onion, sorghum, millet, cucumber, tomato, okra, beans, coriander, and leafy vegetables. . .
